A report on National Doctor’s Day
“A GOOD DOCTOR knows your needs, and handles them with Compassion and skill.” National Doctor’s Day is celebrated every year on the 1st of July. It is a day to appreciate and recognize the contribution and hard work of the medical fraternity throughout the world. The idea of this was conceived by Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, who was not only a doctor by profession but also the second chief minister of the state of West Bengal.
To acknowledge the contribution and to honour our saviour’s effort, the occasion commemorates the spirit of doctors across the globe who works day and night to ensure well-being of patients. So, as a token of gratitude, all the students celebrated the day in various manner.
The Excellent School celebrated National Doctor’s Day on the 1st of July 2024, with great enthusiasm. The day special by Xstd Rashmitha and MC and welcome by X Std Shika Shetty. The Chief Guest was introduced by Ms. Sahana. We were extremely privileged to have amongst us Dr. Deepthi Rao, who is pursuing her MD in the Alvas College, Moodubidire. Dr. Deepthi Rao enlightened the children on how to take care of their health and shared some valuable information and tips on this auspicious occasion. The children listened with great interest.
The Secretary Mam Smt. Rashmitha Jain delivered her speech saying that Dr. Deepthi is rendering her service for this institution and also appreciated for the upliftment of students in conducting various awareness programmes. We thank our Honourable chairman sir Sri. Yuvaraj Jain, Administrative Director Dr.B.P.Sampath Kumar, Academic Director Mr. Pushparaj, Principal Mr.Suresha and Academic Coordinator Mr.ShriPrasad , for their unending encouragement and support towards all the events held in the school.
Dr. Deepthi Rao was then presented with a token of appreciation by the Secretary Mrs. Rashmitha Jain mam and the programme ended by vote of thanks by Shikha Xstd.
It is very important that we celebrate this day in order to instill in our little ones the need to be grateful and thankful to all medical professionals who serve tirelessly to save lives. Their contribution to society must be appreciated.
